Q: How can I apply for a job with the Edgewater Police Department?

 

A: Job openings for positions within the department are posted at city hall, 2401 Sheridan Blvd., and the city building located at 5845 W. 25th Ave. They are also listed in the Sentinel Newspaper. When an opening has been announced, you may obtain an application from this web page, or from the police department or city hall. The Edgewater Police Department does not retain unsolicited applications or resumes. If the opening is for a certified peace officer position, you must be on the C.O.P.S. list at the time of hiring. Q: How can I find out about registered sex offenders in my neighborhood?

 

A: Anyone may appear in person for current list of registered sex offenders. This can be done at the police station located at 5901 W. 25th Ave, Monday thru Friday from 8am to 3:30pm. The fee is $ 3.00.

 

 

Q: How can I get finger prints taken for my employer?

 

A: Fingerprints can be done for persons who live or work in Edgewater, Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am to 12pm at the police station, 5901 W. 25th Avenue. No appointment is required. The fee is $10.00.

 

 

Q: I am new to Colorado; can I get a VIN inspection done so I can register my car?

 

A: You may request a VIN inspection at the police station during regular business hours or by calling dispatch at 303-278-2000.

 

 

Q: How much does a copy of a police report cost?

 

A: A basic police or accident report is $ 3.00. Longer reports have an additional charge of 10 cents a page for anything over 10 pages. Tapes and photographs are reproduction cost, plus a copy fee. The hours to request a report are Monday- Friday 8am-3:30pm.

 

 

Q: What time is curfew for the City of Edgewater?

 

A: Under 18 years of age Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday the curfew is 10:30pm, On Friday and Saturday 11:30pm. With Exceptions*

 

* Accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

 

* For Lawful Employment

 

* When the minor is in the custody of and accompanied by a person who 

    is 18 years of age or older. With written documentation that he/she is the legal

Q: How can I become a Volunteer for the Police Department?

 

A: You must complete an application, and pass a background check.
