MISSION STATEMENT
"To Make Edgewater the City of Choice"
by providing quality services, maintaining and protecting our small town atmosphere, and assuring a safe family friendly community, where people can and do make a difference.
Working as a team we will be innovative and proactive leaders who:
Current Goals
1. Economic Development consistent with the city's revised Master Plan and long-range goals.
2. Revitalize old King Soopers plaza in accordance with long-range goals.
3. Renovation/remodel of the “Abby.”
4. Continue to review (and amend) ordinances as they relate to code enforcement, public
safety, and economic viability.
5. Review council rules and procedures, modify as appropriate.
6. Encourage citizens to attend and participate in Edgewater council meetings.
7. Work with city administration to ensure codes are consistently enforced city-wide as they
relate to Edgewater's vision statement and long-range plan.
Most Common Problems Addressed by City Council
The most common concerns Council hears from citizens are regarding weeds, animals, garbage/trash, and junk vehicles. Following is a brief summary of ordinances currently in place to address some of these concerns.

Graffiti- Edgewater Municipal Code Section
14-10.5 requires the owner of property damaged by graffiti to remove it
upon notice by
the
Police Department. You may elect to have the City of Edgewater remove
graffiti. You must complete the form and contact the
Edgewater Police Department.
City Council Meetings
Meetings are held at 7:00 PM in the City Council/Court Chamber of the City Hall located at 2401 Sheridan Blvd. according to the following schedule:
Regular Meetings occur on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays.Work Sessions occur on the 2nd, 4th and 5th Thursdays as scheduled.

Citizen Participation
The public is invited to attend all council meetings. Anyone may speak to the council during the public comment portion of the council meetings. Speakers are asked to come to the microphone, give their name and address and are asked to limit their comment to five minutes. If an item is scheduled for public hearing, citizens are asked to speak during that public hearing time.
